FAQs - Being on the programme
We’ll be sorry to see you go – but we understand that sometimes events mean you cannot carry on with your application. You’ll be funded up to the point that you withdraw.
You will submit a plan to your adviser on why you need funding – which would normally be to support your evidence of demand. We will scrutinise each plan and may require some alterations. Once your plan is approved we will pay on submission of appropriate invoices direct from the suppliers. Unfortunately we cannot pay for people’s time.
There are a number of reasons why you might not be allowed to receive more of our support.
First, if we discover you are planning to run your school in a way that is contrary to UK democratic values or the spirit and rules of the Free School programme.
Second, if we feel your application is not developing or you are not meeting the deadlines you have agreed and committed to with your adviser. You will receive warnings if this is the case, and you will be given the opportunity to explain or rectify the situation before we take any action.
Third, we do reserve the right to stop offering assistance to any group that causes us major concern for any other reason or we feel risks us meeting our charitable objectives.
We’ll do our best – but we cannot guarantee we will find the right person for your steering group.
